We Love Demeter

Christopher Brosius was a perfumer at Kiehl's when he and Christopher Gable launched Demeter with a straightforward premise: capture the smells of everyday life, the ones tied to memory rather than aspiration, and make them wearable. The first three fragrances were Dirt, Grass and Tomato. Over 300 fragrances now exist in the library, built around a single photorealistic note. Everything is still handcrafted in small batches in Pennsylvania. There is nothing else in perfumery quite like it.
