Filippo Sorcinelli became a cathedral organist at 13 and trained at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music before founding LAVS — Laboratorio Atelier Vesti Sacre — in 2001, a couture atelier for liturgical vestments whose clients include Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis's inaugural mass in 2013. UNUM followed in 2014, its first fragrance named LAVS as a direct tribute to the atelier — perfume as an extension of the same devotional practice, not a separate pursuit. Shaped by gothic architecture, sacred music, photography and fog, the collection now spans over 60 extraits de parfum, each one a continuation of a creative language that owes nothing to conventional perfumery.
