Collection: Alexandra Carlin

Alexandra Carlin is a Senior Fine Fragrance Perfumer at IFF, Paris.

A Parisian by birth, she discovered perfumery at eighteen after hearing a perfumer speak on the radio, pivoting from literary studies to train at ISIPCA in Versailles.

She spent three years at Robertet in Grasse before joining Symrise in 2007, where Maurice Roucel became a key mentor. She moved to IFF in November 2024.

Her credits include Amouage Honour and Dia, BDK Velvet Tonka and Villa Neroli, L'Artisan Parfumeur Tonka Blanc, and Diptyque Corail Oscuro, all filtered through a deeply literary sensibility: for Carlin, composing a fragrance is an act of writing, with raw materials standing in for words.
