Collection: Daniel Pescio
Daniel Pescio is a Brazilian-born perfumer based in Paris who came to fragrance from the world of cinema.
After studying marketing in Brazil, he moved to Paris in 1993 where he pursued semiotics and cinematography, working as a film set designer before a career-orientation session at age 36 pointed him definitively toward perfumery.
He trained at ISIPCA in Versailles and worked for five years at Frédéric Malle, developing his palette and deepening his understanding of the industry.
Since 2015 he has worked independently under DP Parfums, creating fragrances and teaching perfumery internationally. In 2016 he discovered the Japanese art of k?d?, listening to incense, which shifted his approach toward synaesthetic, sensory experience.
His fragrance for Zoologist, Çhameleon (2019), is a lush, colour-shifting floral built around Madagascar ylang-ylang and frangipani.
