Elodie Durande

Elodie Durande is a French perfumer based in Brighton, and the lead nose at Ffern.

Raised in rural Normandy with a deep affinity for the natural world, a childhood trip to Grasse made the career feel inevitable: she studied chemistry after her Baccalauréat specifically to enter a perfumery school.

She completed a two-year perfumery course at the University of Montpellier, interned in Grasse, and joined Quintessence Fragrances in 2014, beginning as an evaluator before transitioning to perfumer training under master perfumer François Robert.

She now leads Ffern's creative fragrance development as its head nose, with a particular focus on experimental naturals.

Her credits beyond Ffern include Memoize London and Mith.
