Collection: Emilie Coppermann
Émilie Bouge is a Senior Perfumer at Takasago, Paris, and co-founder of French niche house Brecourt.
Born near Grasse into a family whose perfumery lineage stretches back two centuries to the house of Bruno Court, she trained at ISIPCA before working at Laboratoire Monique Rémy and Charabot (later Robertet).
A formative posting setting up Charabot's Indonesian laboratory gave her a deep fluency in Oriental accords and an enduring specialisation in Middle Eastern fragrance, including bakhoor.
Her work is characterised by architectural structure and emotional weight, built on voluptuous woods, ambroxan, sugar, spice, and Bulgarian rose.
Her credits include Creed, Trudon, Acqua di Parma, Xerjoff, Miller Harris, and Goldfield & Banks.
