Julien Rasquinet

Julien Rasquinet is a Senior Perfumer at CPL Aromas, based in France.

A business school graduate with no formal perfumery training, his entry into the field came through a chance airport encounter between his father and Pierre Bourdon, who agreed to take him on as an apprentice alongside Julie Massé for three years.

He went on to work with Christine Nagel at Hermès before spending four years as an independent perfumer, then joining Creed from 2010 to 2014, where he created Royal Oud among other titles.

From 2014 he worked at IFF's Middle East office, developing a deep fluency in oriental perfumery. He joined CPL Aromas in 2023.

His credits include Frédéric Malle, Amouage, Naomi Goodsir, Masque Milano, Histoires de Parfums, BDK Parfums, Dries Van Noten, and Zoologist.
