Collection: Meabh McCurtin
Meabh McCurtin is a perfumer at IFF, based in Paris.
Raised on the west coast of Ireland by a physicist father and a mother studying English, she grew up playing fiddle in a travelling band and collecting sensory experiences by the sea.
She studied biochemistry at the National University of Ireland in Galway before a masters in molecular biology at the École Normale Supérieure in Lyon, where a chance encounter with an independent perfumer in Geneva redirected her entirely.
She was mentored by Dominique Ropion at IFF. Her career has taken her through Geneva, Amsterdam, New York, and Paris.
She won the Fragrance Foundation's Best New Independent Fragrance award in 2019 for Róisín Dubh, created for Irish house Cloon Keen Atelier.
Her credits also include Atelier Cologne, Ellis Brooklyn, and Annindriya.
