Olivia Jan

Olivia Jan is a perfumer at Givaudan, based in New York.

Raised in a natural park in north-east France where she spent her childhood steeping flowers to extract their oils, she trained at ISIPCA before beginning her career at Robertet in Grasse, where a deep attachment to natural raw materials took root.

In 2005 she moved to New York to join Robertet's US team, staying for thirteen years before a stint at Drom Fragrances and eventually moving to Givaudan.

She also co-founded Fragrance with Benefits in 2016.

Her compositions are strongly informed by place and atmosphere, with naturals such as mimosa, jasmine sambac, and patchouli at their core.
