Collection: Pascal Gaurin

Pascal Gaurin is a VP Senior Perfumer at IFF, based in New York since 1997.

He grew up in the dark forests of Creuse in central France, an upbringing that gave him a deep affinity for dense, resinous materials: cistus labdanum, patchouli, Cashmeran, which he wields with a sculptor's sensibility.

He had been preparing to enter HEC business school when an article in Vogue about the perfumery industry changed his direction entirely.

He trained at ISIPCA, was recruited by IFF, and spent two formative years in Hong Kong, creating fragrances for China, Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines.

His portfolio spans Tom Ford, Vera Wang, Michael Kors, Jo Malone, and Valentino, as well as Zoologist, for whom he brings his gift for dark, complex materials to animal-themed conceptual briefs.
