Collection: Rosendo Mateu

Rosendo Mateu (1945–2022) was a Spanish Master Perfumer and founder of Rosendo Mateu Olfactive Expressions.

Born in Arenys de Mar near Barcelona, he began his career at fifteen as an apprentice at Puig, where he would spend over fifty years, ultimately earning the title of Maître Parfumeur in 2010.

He trained in Grasse at Marcel Carles' Roure School, in Geneva under Arturo Jordi Pey at Firmenich, and in Paris under Max Gavary at IFF.

His work for Puig produced some of the most enduring fragrances in Spanish perfumery, including Agua Brava, Quorum, and fragrances for Nina Ricci, Paco Rabanne, and Carolina Herrera.
