Collection: Sandrine Videault
Sandrine Videault (d. 2013) was a French perfumer and one of the last students of Edmond Roudnitska, under whom she trained from 1992 to 1996.
An expert in historical fragrance reconstruction, she contributed to olfactory art installations including a Kyphi recreation for the Cairo museum in 2002 and various multisensorial projects in France and the Pacific.
From 2005 she lived in Nouméa, New Caledonia, an unconventional choice that shaped her most celebrated work: Manoumalia for Les Nez (2009), a fragrance rooted in the tropical flora of the South Pacific that became a finalist at the UK FiFi Awards.
Her other credits include Esteban and Les Néréides.
Her final fragrance, Magnolia Grandiflora, created for Sydney's Grandiflora, was released posthumously.
