Born and raised in São Paulo, he came to perfumery through a chemistry background and a chance introduction via a friend working at a fragrance house, beginning as an intern before being invited to train alongside the company's perfumers.

A formative spell in New York working alongside Maurice Roucel proved transformative, shaping a style defined by restraint and breathing room.

His credits include Maison Matine and O Boticário.
