Nathalie Benareau

Nathalie Benareau is a Senior Perfumer at Symrise, based in New York.

Raised between the French Alps, Algerian family culture, and summers in the Spanish wine country of La Rioja, she holds a master's in chemistry and chemical engineering from Toulouse and began her career as an organic chemist at Firmenich in 1999 before training as a perfumer at Intarome and later Manheimer.

She joined Symrise in New York in 2008 and has been there since.

Her palette runs toward wood, gourmand, and her signature coconut water accord, inflected by a cross-cultural sensibility that moves freely between commercial and niche territory.

Her credits include Commodity, Phlur, A.N. Other, Rabanne, Victoria's Secret, and Parfums Quartana.
