Philippine Courtière

Philippine Courtière is a Senior Perfumer at Symrise, based in Dubai.

Born in Paris in 1986 and raised in the seventh arrondissement with the Champ-de-Mars gardens as her playground, her family lineage is woven directly into the history of French couture and perfumery: her grandfather Jacques Rouët was a founding business partner of Christian Dior, her father was president of Givenchy Couture and Parfums, and her mother developed fragrances for Escada.

She studied law at Nanterre University before a perfume shop internship redirected her entirely.

She trained at Robertet and Takasago before joining Firmenich in 2009, mentored by Francis Kurkdjian, Michel Almairac, and Jacques Cavallier, across Paris, Geneva, and New York.

She moved to Dubai in 2014 and joined Symrise in 2021.

Her credits include Goutal, Atkinsons, Kayali, Thameen, and Arabian Oud.
