In 1774, Michel Adam, a perfumer-glovemaker from Versailles, opened a boutique in Paris, which he named A la Reine des Fleurs. The success was immediate, especially within the court of King Louis XVI. That same year, he created his first Eau de Cologne, named after the boutique: Eau de Cologne de la Reine des Fleurs. Adopted by Marie-Antoinette, it quickly became a must-have at court.
The formula was reinterpreted in 1874 to mark the houses centenary, and has been carefully preserved ever since, now reintroduced for todays audience.
Today, Maison L.T. Piver reinvents this fragrance as an iconic candle, creating a delicate and refined atmosphere in your home.
Lighting an L.T. Piver candle is an invitation to a suspended moment a breath of light and fragrance in your everyday life. To fully enjoy this experience, here are our expert recommendations
- Prepare the space Place the candle on a suitable surface to protect delicate materials such as wood or marble
- Lighting the candle Use a match to prevent wax splashes or burns.
- First use Allow the candle to burn until the entire surface has liquefied (around 4 hours) to ensure an even burn.
- Extinguishing the flame Use a snuffer to avoid splattering. Recenter the wick and trim it to 5 mm before each new lighting.
- End of life Do not relight the candle once less than 5 mm of wax remains.
- Air the room Remember to ventilate the space after use.
